submission details

We haven't quite worked out a place to drop off your animations yet, but here is some other info.

Your film should be on a CD or DVD as a .mov .avi or similar file. Please don't give me a "ready to play" DVD (you know like the ones that start playing the film when put them in a player) because encoding footage from that is a nightmare :) And no flash files (.swf; .fla) please. Apart from that the only thing you need to do is label your CD/DVD clearly with your name, the title of your film and your email. A good idea would be if you also include a file on the CD/DVD itself containing the same information, plus if you want a few sentences about your piece (100 words max.)

what's in it for you?

Best of all, it's free and easy. Just drop an email to squirrel.shorts@googlemail.com and then hand in a cd with a quicktime. This is a great opportunity to get your work seen by a large number of people. Apart from the degreeshow visitors there is quite a high chance to get it screened to professionals. Last year someone from Passion pictures came down. We are mailing out invitations to all the relevant studios we know of.

What is Camberwell Shorts?

Last year, we set up a film screening during the degree show period in the small lecture hall showing work from Illustration, Graphics & Drawing. We managed to fill the hall so people
had to stand.
Last year we were screening mainly second year work. This year, we encourage all submissions, so we can make a brilliant programme.
